CB 18

One of the most successful systems from KS AUDIO is the SAT, often copied and today the epitome of a small PA with active mono subwoofer.

That's why we created the SAT3 + SESSION for all those users who are looking for the sound of a good hi-fi system, need the live intelligibility of a PA and whose audience usually consists of a few hundred people - products that leave nothing to be desired!

The centre of these systems is the CB 18:
An active subwoofer with bass reflex enclosure and particularly large ports, equipped with an 18" ND chassis with 4" voice coil. This 1200W chassis also delivers deep bass without any distortion. A second CW18 passive woofer can be operated as an extension on a second integrated power amplifier in mono and even stereo mode.

The two midrange / tweeter amplifier channels of the subwoofer drive two C 1s in SAT mode or one C 12 in SESSION mode in bridge mode amplifier operation - for maximum sound pressure and precision! Switching between these modes is automatic as soon
as the controller detects a connected C 12. With this combination of 10" or 12" ND and 1" ring radiator or 1.75" ND driver - both with HDSP horn - your performance in front of any audience will be a succes!

The DSP controller processes both analogue signals up to 20dBv and digital AES3 format, switching is automatic. For the C 1 and C 12 systems, special FIR filters are programmed for linear-phase impulse equalisation.

The 3000Wrms amplifier is recessed into the woofer cabinet in such a way that, on the one hand, an easily accessible sloping front panel is created where the controls do not protrude and, on the other hand, the cooling for
the three 2-channel PWM power amplifiers can take place unhindered. This is in response to the wish of many users not to use active cooling in order to avoid disturbing fan noise.

As with all KS systems, the enclosure construction is made of birch plywood and is very resistant to mechanical and chemical influences due to its durable PU coating.
A high stand flange with M20 thread, stacking feet, protective grille and optional protective transport cover with castors are further features of this high-quality product.
