C 04

The C 04 is a 2-way loudspeaker with passive crossover in an extremely compact design, consisting of a 4.5” woofer with neodymium magnets, in a closed cabinet and a coaxially arranged dome tweeter with wide dispersion.  

A special feature is the slotted waveguide for the mid-bass speaker, which not only optimizes the dispersion and the acoustic connection to the dome tweeter, but it also creates an acoustic crossover for the low-mid driver. Another great advantage of this slotted waveguide is that it lifts the C 04 to its impressive 120dB SPLmax sound pressure level without sacrificing sound quality, unmatched in this class.

Another unique feature of the C 04 is that it can be used in a very wide range of applications where space constraints or the desire for an "invisible" loudspeaker play a major role.

That’s also why we find the C 04 most often in theatres, houses of worship, restaurants, galleries, museum sound reinforcement and as an ultra-compact, portable sound reinforcement solution for corporate AV meeting rooms, as well as a multi-functional background music system or even in clubs with a subwoofer extension like the KS AUDIO C W210. 

The powerful 4,5 inch low-mid transducer equipped with torsionally stiff yet light carbonfibre cone plus coaxially mounted 1 inch neodymium soft dome tweeter represents the perfect nearfield pointsource as known from studio monitor technology. The frequency ranges of both loudspeakers are acoustically separated from each other and thus operate free from mutual modulation.

The C 04 enclosure is constructed from birch multiplex and coated with Polyurethane. It is available in all RAL-colors and is also equipped with additional perforated steel front grille plus foam for heavy-duty protection of the built-in transducers. All aluminum parts are anodized.
A 3/8" tripod thread, 2x M6 threads for the U-bracket and a very sturdy protective grille are further features of this high-quality product.

The C 04 is amplified by the KS AUDIO 4-channel CA 4D amplifier with D MOD or F MOD DSP module. Up to four speakers can be connected per channel, bringing the total number of speakers per CA 4D amplifier to 16.
