Precise alignment through VALTEC™ - Variable Acoustic Lens Technology.
The 60 features a unique way of adapting the sound to the listening position: the newly developed VALTEC™ waveguide in Variable Acoustic Lens Technology. For the first time, it is possible to precisely align wide ranges of mid-high frequencies with the listener's position, a technique developed primarily for aligning radio and radar beams.
Ceiling or floor reflections are thus avoided. The exact alignment can be set directly on the loudspeaker.
Naturally, the BM Line 60 can be adapted to the listening room via FIRTEC and ensures absolute tonal linearity and precise impulse reproduction.

For decades, the workhorse of most rental companies has been the typical ground stack PA. Quickly stack a couple of subwoofers with a full-range loudspeaker on top. Connect and play without thinking, without fiddling - quickly and with good sound.

Developments do not stop and with the T 40 we present a crossover between line array and full-range loudspeaker. A true point source with cylindrical waveguide in the high frequency range and a low-mid range that reproduces very low frequencies very powerfully. Great attention was paid to the tuning between the two frequency ranges. The radiation is very homogeneous and even over the entire frequency range.
Special Feature: In order to easily point the T 40 downwards or upwards towards the audience, the T 40 has extendable adjustable feet with motor drive, battery charging with "energy harvesting".

Of course, we have long known how special the CPD 18 is, both in terms of technology and especially in terms of sound. It is, without any discussion, the best sounding KS AUDIO loudspeaker.

During the 4-day demo at the Sound Experience Hub, we witnessed astonished listeners.
During the beautiful high quality recordings, we saw people visibly enjoying themselves and most had a big smile on their face. The CPD 18 looks like a hi-fi column speaker and plays at the highest levels, at

audiophile level. But when the volume knob was turned up at the end of the demo, the modern, tight bass palpably filled the room. This visibly added to the confusion and some in the audience looked for a hidden subwoofer which, of course, was not there.
Clearly, we enjoyed these reactions and witnessing the enthusiasm of this audience was a great experience.

There are products that you, as a manufacturer, are especially proud of because they are extremely superior in their class.

Our CPD B2 is such a product. Anyone who has heard this little wonder is familiar with its tight, deep and very linear bass. In addition, the sound pressure level is remarkable for such a compact double 10" woofer.

Two CPD B2 are more compact than most single 18" enclosures but are more powerful in this combination. We would like to emphasise that with several smaller subwoofers you have a lot of flexibility. In a compact location, even one CPD B2 will do the job. With its integrated 2-channel DSP and stereo x-over, the CPD B2 is a great subwoofer for SAT systems.

For large applications: With six CPD B2, even a very cost-effective stereo cardioid subwoofer array can be constructed with enormous power and directivity.
Other array shapes can be set up, such as Arc or Endfire, but even in conventional setups the CPD B2 is a wonderful subwoofer that can easily be handled by one person.

The subwoofer gets its great features from its two special 10" speakers with high excursion neodymium magnets, its powerful 800Wrms amplifier but especially from the acoustic construction of the subwoofer.

As you receive this newsletter, the delivery and installation of a KS AUDIO loudspeaker system on the beautiful Indonesian island of Sumatra, more precisely in Medan, is coming to an end.

In this newsletter, we can introduce you to a second band that has acquired a beautiful new KS AUDIO speaker system.

The band "Premiumstyle" lives up to its name. One of the band's hallmarks are the singers' outstanding vocals. Another interesting detail is that the band can be booked in a 4-, 5-, 6- and even 7-artist formation.

Indirectly, this also requires a certain flexibility of the loudspeaker system. The basis are the very compact and powerful CPD 10 tops, which can also be used without subwoofers for full-range applications. However, the band also has four KS CPD B subwoofers, of which 1, 2 or all 4 can be used as bass support, as required.

This speaker system, like those of "Die Grafenberger", was also supplied by our sales partner Soundtemples GmbH, Borut Gomilsek.

We also wish the Premiumstyle band many enjoyable hours on stage, supported by this high-quality speaker system.

After we informed you a few months ago about the new speakers for the P WK and the improved performance of this subwoofer, we can now report that the speakers in the C W1, CPD W 1, C W2 and CPD W2 have also been renewed.

For this we chose a state-of-the-art 15" speaker with a 4" double layer voice coil and a whopping 65 mm excursion!
With a power handling of 1600Wrms, our TA 2D and TA 4D (in bridge mode) can be loaded to the maximum. This power surplus is clearly noticeable.

Much more important than the additional power, however, is the fact that our W 1 and W 2 precision subwoofers are also further improved in terms of sound quality.
However, you can assume that the W 1 and W 2 subwoofers with new speakers can be used alongside their predecessors without any problems.

More and more manufacturers are using a cylindrical waveguide in their fullrange speakers where the wavefront is less curved in the upper part and opens up more towards the bottom. This is to ensure that the energy at a greater distance from the loudspeaker is proportional to the energy directly in front of the loudspeaker.

We launched the original of this technology back in 2008 as the HDSP™ (High Definition Sound Projector). But we wouldn't be KS AUDIO if we hadn't added some essential facets to this phenomenon. As a result, the dispersion characteristics of a loudspeaker with HDSP™ are still unsurpassed.

HOW IT WORKS

HDSP - High Definition Sound Projector is a unique development in the dispersion behaviour of a compact loudspeaker. Although the optical focus is on the waveguide of the tweeter unit, the dispersion behaviour of the entire loudspeaker is additionally optimised by electronic adjustments.

A good principle is easily explained: Figure A shows how the waveguide, Section 1, converts the energy of the driver into a cylindrical wavefront, as seen in line arrays. However, the HDSP™ waveguide does this more in the upper part than in the lower part, causing the wavefront to slope downwards.

The flatter wavefront in the upper part carries the sound further, so that the energy is transmitted there at a greater distance fromthe loudspeaker remains higher. On the other hand, the more curved wavefront at the bottom of the waveguide ensures that the energy is lower directly in front of the speaker. This effect is amplified by the difference in horizontal dispersion.

The horizontal dispersion is determined in section 2 of the waveguide. Here the waveguide is deeper and narrower in the upper part, resulting in a narrower radiation of 60°. The waveguide opens up towards the bottom, resulting in a wider dispersion of 120°.

The 12" woofer is frequency-adjusted so that it forms one unit with the HF driver/waveguide. This results in a very even dispersion over the entire frequency range of the loudspeaker.

Most people already know that beautiful China is one of the world's forerunners in the field of entertainment.

The format in which the Chinese think is also of a different kind. More and more new huge entertainment and dance palaces are being built, and fortunately KS AUDIO is more and more their brand of choice to sound these large spaces.

The latest project is the Qingyuan MASTER CLUB in Guangdong province.

KS AUDIO has been manufacturing loudspeaker systems with dedicated audio controllers since its foundation. Furthermore, the brand ensures that from the input signal onwards, all components and parts are perfectly matched to achieve the best performance.

While the speaker systems were initially electronically optimised with analogue SIM controllers, KS AUDIO has been using digital signal processors with FIR filter technology since 1995.

With these FIR filters, not only is the frequency response adjusted, but the entire system is optimised "in time" over the entire frequency range. This results in an almost perfect impulse response. This unique approach, which results in products with the same sound characteristics, is called FIRTEC™.

In contrast to the current PWM/Class D standard in the world of professional amplifiers, KS AUDIO uses Mosfet amplifier technology in combination with a switching power supply, the so-called Class H amplifier technology. KS AUDIO uses 3 positive and 3 negative supply voltages to optimise efficiency.

The reason for this choice is simple, we find the sound of this amplifier technology, especially at high frequencies, better than that of Class D technology with today's standards.

The combination of their unique FIRTEC™ technology, the use of the best components, the MOSFET-amplifier technology and of course the revolutionary acoustic solutions give them a lead in professional audio.

It is not for nothing that KS AUDIO is widely known for its superior sound.

The Weyell Winery, which is very well known in the Mainz-Bingen district, celebrated its 25+1 anniversary in 2021 and thus a part of the postponed concerts from 2020.

In addition to Suzi Quattro, Konstantin Wecker, the Prinzen and Johannes Oerding, the Crackers and the Spider Murphy Gang were also supposed to provide a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, some concerts had to be postponed again, but nothing stood in the way of the open-air weekend in the alternative location in the Nierstein city park with the two well-known bands.

Around 1200 spectators celebrated to the well-known hits of the two professional bands. The use of a KS-AUDIO system was indispensable so that all guests could enjoy a uniformly rich sound. Audiovisionrent e.K. and Nebensound GmbH supplied a KS AUDIO system consisting of 2x8 elements P-Line, 6 T-Subs, 9x CM 215, 4x T4M and 2x CPD WL. Power was provided by 11x TA 4D / F MOD and 4x TA 2D. The complete system was driven redundantly via DANTE™ and managed via an Allen&Heath D-Live.

The KS AUDIO sound system was convincing due to its very good range and very defined sound..

In addition to Pro Light + Sound, there finally will be a "Bühnen Technische Tagung" again after two years.

"Into the 3rd Dimension" is the promising programme title of the extraordinary multimedia performance ensemble Scriabin Code. On September 17 and 18 2021, a workshop followed by a laboratory concert will take place in the showroom of KS Beschallungstechnik GmbH in Hettenleidelheim.

It's all about immersion, especially immersion in the virtual world of music. The premises of the loudspeaker manufacturer offer unique acoustic properties to make this 3rd dimension experienceable. The ensemble "Scriabin Code" has been experimenting acoustically and visually with the theme of immersion for years and deals with genre-spanning music, recomposition, improvisation and space-filling projected live motion painting (video).

The workshop project offers young and ambitious sound and video artists the unique opportunity to experiment with these different stylistic means of immersion and to develop something new. Following the workshop, the results will be performed as a lab concert with all participants on September 18 2021 at 8.30 pm and also streamed live as a hybrid event.

Anyone who knows KS AUDIO also knows that we are not quick to change the appearance of our products. This is partly because there was a clear design philosophy from the very first draft, and acoustics and the laws of physics don't change after a few nights' sleep... :-)

Take the T4, for example, perhaps our most distinctive loudspeaker and certainly our best-selling model. The T 4 has been around as a concept for 25 years, and when it was introduced, it came with its own amplifier, the T 4 WAVE. It was KS AUDIO's first systems to use the FIRTEC™ principle (alongside the T 12). Not only has a lot changed in terms of amplification and processing, the DSP of that time and today's DSP have little in common, but the FIRTEC™ principle has remained unchanged.

The T 4 has been delivered with two different 12-inch drivers over the years, and the former 2-inch compression driver has also been given a successor. Furthermore, in 2005 the T 4 got its own integrated DSP amplifier - thus the CPD 15 was born.

In 2020, the T 4 even got a sister. After the great success of the HDSP waveguide in the C 12 and the C 10, both for 1.4" exit drivers, the logical consequence was to develop an HDSP waveguide for a 2" exit driver. The combination of this 2" HDSP waveguide and the T 4 resulted in the C 22 and CPD 22, the latter with integrated DSP amplifier.

For the average stand-alone application, the C 22 and CPD 22 are the ultimate for audiences between 100 and 500 people.

Nevertheless, we will continue to carry the T 4 and CPD 15 in our range. This is not for reasons of nostalgia, but because the 60° x 40° horn of these speakers is ideally suited to projecting more energy from the 2" driver with 4" diaphragm, over greater distances.

What these 4 speakers from 2021 have in common is the cabinet. From the outside, they are hardly distinguishable from each other.

At KS AUDIO, we don't try to entice our customers to buy new products by changing the front of a speaker or a letter in the name. We listen to our users and think about how we can offer the best tools to get the job done in the best possible way and with the best possible longevity.

Unfortunately, due to Corona, this year's programme could only be held as an open air and with a reduced programme, but the audience, which was limited to 500 people per day, enjoyed the ten-day festival to the fullest.

The festival took place for the 25th time and has been technically supervised by Bernd Krause - Light & Music Krause GbR - ever since. KS AUDIO loudspeaker systems have always been in use. In the early days, it was the KS T12 large-scale PA system. This year, the main system consisted of 2x 8 C LINE line arrays and 4x T SUB subwoofers. Several KS AUDIO T 4 were used as infills and delays and CM 112 as stage monitors.

Of course, artists, technicians and audience were extremely satisfied with the quality of the sound.

We hope that the festival can take place without restrictions in 2022 and wish the organisers and Bernd Krause and his colleagues every success with the preparations.

With the CPD 10, KS AUDIO introduced its High Definition Sound Projector - HDSP™ more than 15 years ago. Once again, this concept proved to be ahead of its time, as no other compact single 10" speaker system convinces the user more in terms of handling, practicality and audio performance than the CPD 10.

What only a few people know: The CPD 10 has received several updates and upgrades over the years; drivers, electronics and software are regularly scrutinised and improved.

Today we present the 7th upgrade of CPD 10.

This update consists of a brand new very robust woofer with 700Wrms and 3" voice coil and a corresponding adjustment of the software. Sound-wise, this change raises the CPD 10 to a whole new level because it now sounds much more dynamic in the bass range than its predecessor.

This gives the CPD 10 significantly more musical experience, especially in full-range use, while as a top speaker in combination with a subwoofer it does not compromise on midrange clarity.

With this latest upgrade, the CPD 10 remains without doubt by far the best in its class.
