CPD B2

With the current CPD B2, KS AUDIO offers the most demanding professional users a universally applicable active mono subwoofer of high quality and performance.

Building on the experiences with with its predecessor; the CUBE, which has been successful for many years, great emphasis was placed on high transmission quality and simple handling. With the CPD B2, KS AUDIO particularly addresses customers who do not exploit the full capacity reserves of usual 18′′ subwoofers, but require a smaller, yet equally profound solution for their applications instead.

And there is practically no field of application where the CPD B2 cannot be applied successfully: center bass
for multi-media surround sound, the small live stage, the hotel bar or the dance floor in a bistro, and not least as a powerful low-frequency extension in installation areas where the extremely small dimensions meet all the constructional requirements of the location.

The system consists of two 10′′-long excursion woofers with a capacity of 400W program power and an exceptionally large linear stroke of 30mm.
Due to the special design featuring a double magnet and push-pull configuration, the small cabinet can generate incredible low-bass sound pressures.

As a system subwoofer, the CPD B2 can be perfectly combined with the KS AUDIO CPD 08, but also with the particularly compact CPD 04 to create a loudspeaker system with a mature sound of distinctly good quality.

The rear-mounted DSP amplifier (PWM mode) works very efficiently and does not require a - often annoying - cooling fan. Electronically balanced inputs and outputs are available as XLR F+M for two channels.

A level control allows adjustment of the summed mono woofer content in the +/-9dB range. Thus, a powerful bass foundation is always guaranteed under the most diverse acoustic conditions in the room.

The DSP controller offers a special feature with its integrated delay: adjusting to the installation location or forming a bass array for directional radiation does not require separate audio channels, but only the press of a button on the CPD B2.

As with all KS AUDIO systems, the cabinet construction is made of birch plywood and PU-coated. Recessed handles, high stand flange with M20 thread, stacking feet, protective grille and optional acoustic front foam are further features of this high-quality product.
