CPD 08

The compact CPD 08 is a real all-rounder. Despite the high level of speech intelligibility, music playback and live music on the CPD 08 sounds very balanced. These all-round qualities, which are requested by many users, have made the CPD 08 one of our best-selling products for decades.

The KS AUDIO CPD 08 is made for a wide variety of tasks in the field of sound engineering: background music in bars and restaurants, supportive speaker for theaters, sound reproduction in the multimedia sector or 100V build-in speaker on walls and ceilings in high quality.

Precisely because the CPD 08 plays very musically, the combination with the CPD B2 is a dream combination and creates a top-class compact PA system. It is so good, in fact, that we are offering it as a set under the name SPIRIT.

A waveguide for the 1" driver with an evenly wide sounddispersion is integrated in the sound baffle. The compact cabinet is protected with a grill and the entire front can is lined with acoustic foam. Especially for the combination with a subwoofer, the CPD 08 is also available with a grill that matches the grill of the subwoofer.

The tuning of the cabinet is achieved using a generously dimensioned tunnel on the rear side, which allows a remarkably powerful reproduction of the bass levels without compression.

The 2-way DSP controller amplifier built into the rear operates with very high efficiency and requires no cooling fan. The FIR crossover and EQ filter shapes are precisely matched to the loudspeakers, and limiters ensure safe operation.

The power electronics include a Class D output stage for the low-midrange chassis and a linear output stage with best audio properties for the ring-radiator.

The electronically balanced input is designed as XLR F+M sockets.

In addition to the mains connection, further operating elements are available: A digital level control for individual adjustment to the location and a delay of up to 40m for use as a delay loudspeaker in relation to a main loudspeaker system.

The power supply unit of the CPD 08 operates with internal changeover at AC voltage mains of 117 or 230 V. The inrush current is electronically limited. The connection is made via a PowerCon connector.

The cabinet is made of multi-layered birch plywood and has a black structured PU coating. It is well-shaped, robust, insensitive to weather impact, has good acoustic qualities and is easy to mount. A metal sleeve for wall or tripod mounts, M6 thread, a recessed grip and various accessories ensure easy handling.
