With the KS CPD 14 and its bigger brother the CPD 18, KS AUDIO has created two tools that belong in every important venue as a main loudspeaker system. They are not just very good average all-rounders, KS AUDIO proves that you can get maximum musicality, perfect impulse behaviour and a more than excellent speech transmission (STI) out of one single system.

With the design of the CPD 14, KS AUDIO has created a full-range speaker that is not only unique in its design but also one that achieves audiophile performance in its acoustic properties that no speaker in the PA industry can match.

By using two 10” woofers, the frequency range extends down to 38Hz, despite the compact enclosure.
Unique is the design of the sound displacement in the waveguide of the High Frequency line driver with 1.75” driver and its electronic adaptation to the four 5” midrange drivers which results in an even and narrow vertical splay and a coherent wave front without notches even at the crossover frequency. Due to its innovative design, if the loudspeaker is positioned correctly, all listeners will therefore hear the same direct sound and undesirable sound energy and reflections in the room are minimised.

Both woofers are mounted laterally to ensure slim appearan- ce and compact footprint similar to a column speaker. The narrow and rounded baffle is an essential prerequisite for precise midrange reproduction.

By default, you could say that the CPD 14 is the ideal loudspeaker for the most critical technicians and users. By adding an extra subwoofer, even larger venues can be sup- plied with loud dynamic live music. However, the CPD 14 will find its way particularly to where the best musical perfor- mance is desired, as well as maximum speech intelligibility. These include boarding rooms, conference halls, houses of worship and, of course, theatres and opera houses.

THE ENCLOSURE

The birch plywood enclosure is treated with a durable anthracite polyurethane coating – as seen at any KS AUDIO product. As an option all kind of RAL – coloring and a fully adjustable mounting bracket are available. A front grille without foam and a flange are further features of this premium product.
