Starting with the T LINE, KS AUDIO has made a name for itself as a manufacturer of excellent line array systems for professional users. With the smaller CPD LINE in the self-powered version, KS AUDIO is expanding its range with a system that meets the requirements for high sound quality and easy handling.
The power for the three drivers of the CPD LINE is genera- ted by cold PWM amplifiers of the latest generation as well as by a discrete FET power amplifier for the high frequency range. The 8” neodynium drivers are each provided with 200W and the 1.75” HF driver - with Mylar ring diaphragm - with 100W continuous sine wave power. With these 500W, the CPD LINE can generate 137dBspl as a single system.
The integrated DSP ensures a linear frequency and phase response and protects the speaker from overload. Connection is via PowerCon F+M connectors which enable daisy-chaining between the elements and also to subwoofers, for example. The digital differential crossover and filter stages are precisely tuned to the loudspeakers. An FIR filter, which is individually tuned for each speaker, ensures unsurpassed equality of the different elements. The symmetrical input has XLR F+M connectors. A special feature is the automatic recognition and switchover for an incoming digital audio signal according to the AES/EBU and optionally DANTE™ standard.
In addition to the power switch, the following additional controls are available: “sensitivity” buttons for individual adaptation to the operating location, for delay settings in m and ms, high-pass filter or selection of the digital audio channel. The settings are clearly readable on self-luminous displays. Further settings, such as a parametric equalizer, can be downloaded and saved with the KS REMOTE software via the integrated Ethernet switch.
As in all KS systems, the cabinet construction is made of multi-layered birch multiplex and has a structured plastic coating. Protective steel grids with or without acoustic foam are another feature of this high-quality product. The flyware requires no external components and is easily and securely locked in position by ball lock pins.
NO CERTIFIED TRAINING is required to align and adjust the CPD LINE
The CPD LINE Array is uniquely easy to use. The accurately calculated presets by KS AUDIO in combination with the easy to adjust mechanical splay angles, makes it possible for personnel without special "Line Array" training to work very successfully with the CPD LINE Array. KS AUDIO has made the use of the CPD LINE Array self-explanatory.
