P SUB

The P SUB generates the frequencies that the ear expects in large rooms: not only at 80Hz, the “room wavelength” of 4m, but also more than an octave deeper, the efficiency re- mains consistently high. This means that these frequencies do not have to be forced out of the system via frequency-response correction, thus accompanied by a loss of performance, but can rather be retained effortlessly within the overall spectrum, even at a high modulation.

As it can be expected from KS AUDIO, the P SUB is not only powerful, but also features a high sound quality. This optimum is achieved by the use of two high-capacity 18′′ long-excursion speakers. The relatively low moving mass of the coated membranes combined with push-pull technology and installed in a matched cabinet with very large bass-reflex tunnels results in a precise transient response and decay, as well as in minimum distortion values.

Due to its internal geometry alone, the cabinet generates extremely low vibration levels and is made of multiplex panels with multiple reinforcements to get a low-resonance housing.

Apart from an application as the fourth or fifth way in a large PA system, the combination with P LINE, T LINE and U LINE is particularly interesting.

Both bass-midrange speakers of the U LINE reach far into the bass range with a still high degree of efficiency (full- range suitability), so that in large systems the P SUB can be connected directly below 70Hz.

The result is a high-fidelity power PA system for the requirements of modern pop music.

On both sides, the housing is equipped with our multigrip handle design for easy handling, 4 heavy-duty castors and a sturdy grille. The connection panel with double Speakon is located on the rear. A transport protection cover is available as an accessory.

As with all KS AUDIO systems, the cabinet construction is made of birch plywood and has an extremely robust anthracite-coloured PU coating. On request, the surface can be painted in any RAL colour. The high stand flange is another feature of this high-quality product.

The recommended TA 2D and TA 4D / F MOD - in bridge mode- controller amplifiers provide the necessary power, frequency response correction and limiters for the drivers.

The P SUB’s are operated on the ground and because of their dimensions are suitable as a platform for any type of LINE and ConSet clusters.
